Typhoid Fever
Typhoid fever is caused by a germ called Salmonella typhi. Parathyroid fever is a milder form of typhoid fever. It is caused by a germ called Salmonella paratyphi. These germs most often infect food and water systems. People get the germs by: Drinking water contaminated by the germs Eating food contaminated with the stool from a person with this illness Having oral or anal sex with someone who is infected with the germs When you have this illness, you may have serious health problems if it is not treated. You may need drugs and care to control the signs of the illness.

Fight an infection,Lower fever,Help with pain,Prevent fluid loss
Stay away from caffeine and foods that are greasy, high in fiber, or sweet.,Eat soft, bland foods like bananas, plain rice, boiled potatoes, toast, crackers, cooked carrots, and baked chicken without the skin or fat.,Eat small meals every few hours instead of 3 big meals.
Enlargement of the liver and spleen,Sores inside the bowels,Bleeding,Seizures,Infection,Very bad fluid loss
Signs of fluid loss. These include dark-colored urine or no urine for more than 8 hours, dry mouth, cracked lips, dry skin, sunken eyes, lack of energy, feeling faint, or passing out.,Belly pain that won't go away, even with drugs,Problems eating,Bloody stool,Nonstop throwing up,Loss of consciousness,Seizures,Changes in behavior,You are not feeling better in 2 to 3 days or you are feeling worse
